MEET DENISE!!

I have been a Meat Loaf fan for approx. 15 years. I saw Meat live for the first time in August of 1989 at the New Jersey shore, (Wildwood) in a little club there.

I had been on vacation there with some friends and we noticed a poster announcing a Meat Loaf concert in two weeks from the time we were there. So we decided to drive back down there to attend it, although we didn't have tickets and it took 4 hrs to get there and we had to leave after work at 5:00. (rush hour) and then drive back home to get to work the next day. Well I was determined to get there and see him.

We arrived at the club and standing outside were about 200 other fans!! We got in line and I was so nervous thinking I wouldn't get in. It was a small club and I didn't think all these people could fit in!

Well, we got in and the concert was so terrific I can not even express how I felt to stand right in front of Meat (the stage was just a step off of the dance floor) and watch him perform and as all you fans know, this is an experience like no other!!! He looked great, sounded great and the best part.....he sweat on me!!!! If you have ever seen him live or any video of him, when he had his long hair he'd get swinging it around and sweat was flying!!! Right in the face. YES I did enjoy that. Well that's about how close I got, I didn't get to talk to him or anything but I was that close and I hope someday I get to meet him to thank him for being a great inspiration to a lot of people including myself for whenever I'm down, I listen to Meat and he reaches out with that voice and grabs me and makes me smile!!!!
