LEAH'S STORY

Hi there I'm a ballet/post modern dancer and chreographer. The very first time I heard Meat Loaf's music was when I was 13. I was busy typing away at something on the computer with my back to the TV, and the news was on. They were doing a bit about the upcoming release of Bat out of Hell II and they played a piece of a 70's recording of "Bat out of Hell" MY ENTIRE BODY REACTED- I spun around and just thought he was the most beautifull man I had ever seen. I have to admit that I had a HUGE crush on Meat all through high school, my nickname was even "Loaf". More importantly, though, His music really made me dance with so much more passion and fire. I had never considered being a proffessional dancer untill that point since I was mediocre at best. His voice made me move in a whole new way, My ballet teacher even asked me to put up a photo of him next to my place at the bar because he was so thrilled at the emotion it put into my work. So here I am today, 20 years old, in one of the best dance programs in Canada, and still a huge Meat Loaf fan.

Here's the exciting part. On his recent Storytellers tour, I had the oportunity to ask him a question on stage, he asked me what I did for a living, and when I told him I was a dancer he asked me if I knew Swan Lake, I replied that I was doing a production of it in April. He then replied, "well would you like to come up here and do some Swan Lake? You be the Swan, and I'll be the lake." So I did ballet with Meat Loaf at a sold out concert in Toronto. Meat's voice is so powerfull and gorgeous. I hope to one day tour a modern piece done to "For crying out Loud." maybe he'll even see it. Oh yeah, and despite my incredible love for my boyfriend, Meat is still the sexiest man I've ever seen.
