LYDIA'S STORY

I first fell in love with Meat Loaf and his voice in 1994 when I was fifteen. It was summer and about 4am when I heard "I Would Do Anything For Love" for the first time. I was amazed...his voice is awesome, and powerful, and full of emotion.

Finally in 1996 I went to see him in concert. I was so excited. My first and only concert I've ever been to so far. I had lawn seats, unfortunately. I wanted to be so much closer to him. So after about an hour of amazing music, I couldn't take it anymore. I had my boyfriend distract one of the security guards at the pavillion so I could sneak in where the seats were so that I could be closer to him. I thought I would explode!

Then after the concert I watched while others with backstage passes went back to meet my favorite musician in the world. I think I would have done just about anything that night to go back and meet him, shake his hand, get a hug, and tell him how much his singing means to me.....and how I wish I was Patti Russo on stage when they do Paradise by the Dashboard Light!
