Hi fellow Bats!!!!!

Well, what do you think? Do I look happy in this picture????
Yup...I do...and truely, I am!!! But it wasn't always that way...
so much has happened in my life, but one thing I can tell you for sure, is that Meat's music has had an incredible impact, right from the beginning, and at times, helped me reach to the bottem of my soul to find what I needed to get through!!

I am one of these fans who will tell you I've listened to Meat longer than what I care to admit...but I do remember the very first time his music and lyrics touched me. I had been living in California, and had lost a person who I believed to have been my dearest friend. It was a terrible loss to me..a drug overdose..it seemed so unnecessary and I felt like everything was lost. As I moved on with my life, I found it hard to shake that feeling.

Then, one night, I heard "Heaven Can Wait"....

Heaven can wait,
And a band of Angels wrapped up in my heart,
Will take me through the lonely night,
Through the cold of the day.
And I know, I know,
Heaven can wait,
And all the gods come down here just to sing for me,
And the melody's gonna make me fly,
Without pain, without fear...

For the first time in nearly 7 years, I came to believe that James (the boy who overdosed) did not require anything of me. That I hadn't failed him, and that it was OK for my life to go on, even though his did not.

Since that time, there have been so many other occasions that Meat's music, or his lyrics, have seen me through lonely, terrible nights. But one thing that Meat's lyrics always conveyed to me was hope....and that hope finally materialized in the appearence of a wonderful man at the doorway to my soul...who I am now married happily to!!!

If I've come to believe anything in my life, it's that "there's always something magic"!!!

If anyone should wonder about why I have given my time and talent to creating this web site, just read my story here. You will understand why I cannot find words enough to say "Thank You" to Meat for what he has given me...thus, this site is my "Thank You" to him...
